Sorbon Estates is pleased to announce the acquisition of the freehold interest in the St. Martin’s Centre, Caversham, Reading. This prominent site, spanning approximately 4.75 acres, comprises around 100,000 sq ft of retail, residential, and mixed-use accommodation. Key tenants include Waitrose, Boots, Superdrug, and Iceland, supported by a 300-space car park.
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Sorbon Estates, aligning with our commitment to enhancing high streets and supporting vibrant communities. We are excited to bring our experience in managing mixed-use developments to the St. Martin’s Centre and look forward to working collaboratively with tenants and the local community to ensure the centre remains a cornerstone of Caversham.
We would like to thank James Cogavin at Lunson Mitchenall, who acted for Sorbon Estates, and Robert Dales at KLM Real Estate, who acted for Hermes, the vendor, for their role in facilitating the transaction.
This acquisition underscores our ongoing strategy to invest in and nurture dynamic spaces that blend retail, residential, and community uses, ensuring they continue to thrive in a changing environment.
