Attractive and popular Maidenhead development Waterside Quarter has been named as a finalist in the Placemaking category of a prestigious, national Property Awards.
Run by national media title Property Week, the awards seek to recognise best in sector performances in the property industry and are judged by a panel of senior level decision makers and experts from the sector.
The Placemaking category aims to celebrate the best commercial or commercial-led, mixed-use development that has regenerated or physically improved the built environment on or around a particular site.
Situated alongside Maidenhead's attractive rejuvenated waterways, Waterside Quarter is a stylish, mixed-use development by Shanly Homes and Sorbon Estates. The scheme has been carefully designed to create a lively new restaurant, retail and leisure quarter featuring a piazza and 260 new homes for a new era of modern living in the heart of the town.
As a finalist, Waterside Quarter and the local property development company behind the scheme, Sorbon Estates (part of the Shanly Group), are being recognised for excellence. The final award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in June.
Katherine Croom, Managing Director of Sorbon Estates, said, "We are absolutely thrilled to have been named as a finalist in the Property Awards and that Waterside Quarter is being recognised as the outstanding development that it is. As residents have moved in and the leisure and dining quarter has taken shape, it has been a delight to see Waterside Quarter quite literally come to life. The whole Sorbon Estates team will look forward to the awards ceremony with great excitement; we'll be keeping everything crossed!"
