Covid-19 Update - January 2021

Like many of you, we have been closely monitoring the evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19. Following the latest guidance and measures by the UK government, our staff are working remotely wherever possible. An exception to this is the maintenance team, who are undertaking emergency visits to properties whilst adhering to social distancing practices as recommended by the government.

We would like to assure that you we are fully enabled for remote working and will continue business operations as normal in this period. We are maintaining a regular dialogue with our tenants and encourage anyone with concerns to contact their estate manager www.sorbonestates.com/about-us/our-team/

While the situation is evolving rapidly, we continue to take action where we can and are closely monitoring events. We want to thank our tenants for their patience and co-operation at this time.

Tenants in financial difficulty

Please get in touch with your estate manager as a first port of call and complete this form to request assistance from us. We are fully enabled to work remotely and will be available to handle your request, although we do ask for your patience at this time. We will consider each case individually and will come back to you within five working days of your request.

We advise all our tenants to make use of the government's package of measures to help businesses and households during this time, including government-backed loans to assist in the payment of employees' wages, grants for small firms and a year without business rates for all retail, hospitality and leisure businesses, as well as utilising the resources and guidance from industry bodies such as Bira, the British Independent Retailers Association and a partner of Sorbon Estates, which is providing advice to its members on COVID-19.

Tenants with maintenance issues

Our maintenance team continue to operate in this period but are attending to emergencies and critical work only whilst adhering to social distancing practices as outlined by the government.

As landlord we also have a duty of care to reduce workplace risk to the lowest reasonably practicable level by taking preventative measures so that everybody's health and safety is protected. Our teams have been fully briefed and trained on how to work safely in your properties. So as to reassure you, key guidelines our team members will follow if they need to attend your property can be found  here.
