Maintenance Operative

(Beaconsfield)

AIM OF ROLE:

Carry out general maintenance tasks at residential and commercial property managed by Sorbon Estates. This includes decoration, small plumbing works, carpentry, property clearance and gardening as directed by the Maintenance/Project Coordinator and Facilities and Maintenance Manager.

Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard whilst using time, technology, and tools as efficiently and economically as possible. As a representative of the company there will be an expectation to provide a 5* customer experience to the tenants, landlords and members of the public.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Basic carpentry including boxings, hanging doors, general door locks and associated ironmongery, kitchen fitting, mastic application, plastering, filling
  • Basic plumbing including sinks, W.C's, kitchens, heating
  • Landscaping and external ground works including excavation, ground maintenance, slabbing, minor concrete work and car park maintenance
  • Laying flooring including wood, laminate, floorboards, vinyl, ceramic tiling
  • Painting & decorating, wallpaper hanging, coving
  • Demolition of internal walls, kitchens, bathrooms and site clearance
  • Carry out all works efficiently and effectively, highlighting any other issues through computer aided facilities management system
  • Keeping the company van, tools, PPE clean and tidy and fit for purpose
  • Awareness and ability of assessing risk of the work and reporting any potential hazards
  • Able to plan your time and organise your paperwork job sheets, PO's and receipts
  • All other general DIY works
