Former Made in Chelsea star Andy Jordan and his family look to make waves in Marlow with the opening of their first shop outside the West Country. The new JAM Industriespop-up store at 64 High Street, Marlow was officially unveiled on Saturday 8th September. The clothing retailer currently has two UK stores: one in Salcombe, Devon and one in Padstow in Cornwall.
Co-founder Andy Jordan explained that the brand had been searching for a long time to find the perfect home away from the coast. "JAM Industries is a lifestyle clothing brand that provides comfortable and stylish clothing for both men and women," he said. "Our vision is to bridge the gaps between city and surf style, creating a timeless 'lifestyle' brand for all ages".
"We wanted to build a brand that facilitates a transient lifestyle between cities and coastlines, with clothes that are comfortable in both settings. With many existing customers in the area, we feel Marlow could be the perfect place for us to open 'inland'."
Former surf-school instructors, Andy and his brother Mark believe "Surfing is not just a sport: it's a culture, one that doesn't have to be left behind when you leave the beach. We hope that through JAM, customers can own their own 'slice' of the coast wherever they live."
We're looking forward to welcoming people to the Marlow store, whether its myself, my brother Mark or my mum Lynne - one of us will always be here, so please feel free to pop in for a chat."
Managing Director Tamra Booth is very pleased to see another vibrant independent business open in Marlow, "The JAM Industries pop up will be a terrific addition to Marlow's retail offer," she said. "More than 70% of tenants within our property portfolio are independent businesses. We believe this adds real diversity and vibrancy to our high-streets."
