After a successful career working for major retailers, Rose Foster has launched her first store in Marlow selling the Angel and Rocket brand. The brand, which is owned by her lifelong friend and colleague, Kate Bostock, provides a unique offering in stylish, versatile and fashionable childrenswear for boys and girls aged 0-10. Rose commented "Marlow is the perfect location to showcase our gorgeous clothing. We wanted to be in a successful market town where independents can thrive alongside high street names. We've launched as a pop-up in a prime High Street spot and hope this will be the first of many Angel and Rocket boutiques".

Early in March 2017 luxury clothing retailer Really Wild opened their first ever physical store. Situated on Marlow High Street, the company has enjoyed a successful first few months and has seen a growth in brand awareness. Vanessa Fearnehough, sales and marketing, commented “we are thrilled to have a high street presence enabling our customers, both old and new, to see first-hand the quality of our products. Marlow was the obvious choice for our first shop, not only because it fits our brand perfectly but also because we hopefully offer something different on the high street.”

Continued growth and success meant that KDL Pizzas Limited, who own 11 Domino’s pizza franchises, had outgrown their office space in Sandhurst. With staff living in or near Binfield, Oakmede was the obvious choice to relocate the office side of the business, enabling the Sandhurst office to be used as a training room for employees. Juliet Liebenberg, Director, commented “En-route to our Sandhurst offices I frequently drove past Oakmede and knew that if a suitable suite became available it would be perfect for us. Oakmede has great local amenities and our team are particularly excited at the prospect of walking to work”.

Well-established family business, Bucks and Berks Recruitment, moved into their new offices in Marlow in July 2016, following an extensive re-fit to provide a contemporary yet functional space. The changing recruitment environment and the business’ focus for the next 5 years meant that by centralising their service they could work more efficiently. MD Joanna Cooper commented “It took a year to find a suitable premises. Regatta House is a bright, open and sociable space, in a great location with good shopping and eateries plus parking. Our re-fit looks fantastic and our staff are very happy.”

Founded in honour of the world famous children’s author, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity has a track record in specialist nursing, supporting seriously ill children across the UK. Having outgrown its shared space at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden, the charity was keen both to keep its ties to the area and to establish a new setting for the ambitious organisation. With Amersham offering a host of opportunities to raise the charity’s profile and excellent links to London, Woodside Road seemed the perfect choice.

In 2007 Andy Ross bought Streme Ltd, a specialist company providing insect, pet, pollen and solar screens to homes and businesses in the UK. Andy chose Rose Business Estate in Marlow Bottom to embark on his new venture and the company has been there ever since. Over the last 8 years the company has grown considerably and moved into larger units within the estate. With an emphasis on customer service, it is important for Streme to be in an easily accessible location; with a good sized show room and visitor car parking, Rose Business Estate meets all their needs.

In February 2015 Viva La Italia, a family run restaurant offering authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed bistro setting relocated their popular business to Windsor. The restaurant already had a loyal customer base but the superb Windsor location, directly opposite the Castle, enabled the restaurant to reach many more customers. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere along with the superb food has enabled the restaurant to quickly take the number one spot on TripAdvisor for best restaurants in Windsor and they have also won an award for Best Dining Choice 2015 from Opentable.

Matthew and Diana Wilkinson established their property management business in 1995 offering residential lettings and property management in Maidenhead, Marlow, Cookham, Bourne End, Burnham, Windsor and the surrounding areas. They opted to locate their business in a central position to their operating areas and, with the improved linkages with London which Crossrail will bring in 2019, Maidenhead seemed the obvious choice. Situated on the High Street in the Chapel Arches area of the town, Wilkinson Estates offers its property and investment clients impartial, honest and discreet advice.

With an office in Singapore it is important for the company to be close to Heathrow Airport and Marlow affords this. Regatta House particularly suits them due to its High Street position putting them right in the heart of the town. Top Hat hairdressers have been a familiar sight at their premises in St Ives Road, Maidenhead having been there for many years. Their shop front underwent a significant refurbishment in May 2015 to enhance and improve the overall appearance of the street scene. Domenico Caeti, owner, commented “We are very pleased with the new shop front, we now have a fresh modern look that has given our business a real facelift. Everybody has been commenting on the shop fronts and our clients are very impressed".
